Our guitar teachers understand that every student is an individual, with personal musical needs and goals. We make it a priority to tailor how we teach to each student we work with. When you enroll for guitar lessons at the Music Learning Center your teacher will ask about your favorite type of music. Then, together you will set goals to help accomplish whatever musical aspirations you have for yourself or your child. We love beginners, so even if you don’t know where to start, we can help.

Most importantly, our instructors strive to adapt their teaching to the approach that will work best for each individual student.
There is no set answer to how long it takes, but with regular practice, a basic level of playing can be accomplished in a few months. Most of our students take lessons on a long-term basis because they want to be constantly improving, and they find the lessons enjoyable.
Yes. Even if you don’t have a musical background, you can ask the teacher for advice on how to help your child practice. By simply monitoring that they are playing the songs and exercises a certain number of times each day, you can help your child achieve steady progress. Many parents will sit in on their child’s guitar lesson occasionally to get an idea of the proper way a song should sound, or how the student should be positioning their hands. Though it’s not required, our teachers can help parents be involved with their child’s learning to whatever extent that they are able. Helping the student achieve independence with their at home practice is one of the keys to long term progress.
